I'm going to write about what i did during this winter break.
The break was short (from Dec 22nd to Jan 7th), but i had a great time=)
I didn't go back to Okinawa for the New years this time since I was busy with an intensive class and lots of homework, and I had a part time job. This was my first time to spend the New Year's holiday in Hiroshima, so i missed my family and food in Okinawa so much.
But my best friend from junior high school had wanted to come visit me here, so i decided not to go back home.
The first day of her stay, we went to Hiroshima city and visited the Hiroshima peace memorial musium. There were so many pictures, the belongings of the Atomic-bomb victims, and other important articles about the tragedy.
We were very shocked when we saw the hank of hair of a girl who died from the A-bomb and other pictures of the victims. We hardly talked to each other in the musium; I think it was because so many thoughts were racing through our minds.
After that, we went to a restaurant and had Okonomiyaki!
She loves Hiroshima style okonomiyaki so she was very excited.
I was happy with that, but i noticed that an old lady next to us was laughing at us when we were taking pictures with okonomiyaki...
We also did shoping until 9pm and wet back to Saijo.
That was a really long day but we had so much fun!
